A love straight out of a Harry tale…

I was really surprised to read on twitter the other night that Harry is now being reported as being back together with Cressida. I mean, wasn’t it *just* reported that he was back with Chelsy? I can’t keep up. My head was spinning.

Naturally, I wanted answers. 😉

Royal Twitter Gossip

I must admit, the royal correspondents on twitter answer 99% of my tweets, even during the busy moments on tour. I’m really impressed and thankful for them taking their time to respond.

Let’s look at the varying reports:

US Weekly claims: Chelsy and Harry are back together.

The sexy redheaded royal and Davy, 29, have been secretly meeting up since a date in February, sources tell Us. For Harry’s 31st birthday, the bubbly corporate lawyer flew 8,500 miles to be by his side in London. (US Weekly.)

The Sun: Cressida and Harry are back together.

The 26-year-old actress joined him and close friends for the bash in a private room at a pub.

They were reunited on Tuesday night, just hours after The Sun revealed Cressida had split from her actor boyfriend.

Our exclusive pictures are the clearest indication that the pair want to give their relationship another go, as we had also reported. (The Sun.)

People magazine: Harry is unattached.

Prince Harry Unattached

While he is clearly keeping close to his exes, the source tells PEOPLE he doesn’t have anyone special in his life at the moment. (Cue the confetti.) (People magazine.)

This Vanity Fair article delves even deeper into the latest reports.

So, now that you’ve read this weirdly long discourse on the love life of Prince Harry, you probably have even less of a sense of what is going on than before you read it! Is he still with Chelsy? Reconnected with Cressida? Romancing both of them simultaneously?!?! Or is he using the two as a distraction from his relationship with, like, Suki Waterhouse, or even, just maybe, a “commoner”? Maybe he’s dating Gwyneth Paltrow, and she’s the reason he’s been sporting the Chris Martin-y scruff! O.K., now we’re just blatantly making stuff up; all this uncertainty has us delirious. (Vanity Fair.)

One thing is for certain, though…

Royal Film Review: ‘Diana’ a film by Oliver Hirschbiegel

Diana Film Poster

Last weekend I finally got around to renting ‘Diana’ after having wanted to see it since seeing its first trailers.

Admittedly, I hadn’t researched the plot, so I was a bit disappointed upon realizing it was merely 90 plus minutes covering the alleged love story of Diana and heart surgeon Dr. Hasnat Khan. Had I been more interested in that aspect of her life, maybe I would have viewed the film with an entirely different opinion.

Naomi Watts did not play a convincing Diana, though you could certainly tell how badly she wished to represent her as authentically as possible. I do give her credit in that regard, as well as credit to the costume department of the movie.

Diana Film Naomi Watts

I’m surprised that this was the piece of Diana’s life the filmmakers decided to cover. Though she had a tragically short life, it was full of fascinating stories from start to finish. Of course, her years as Princess of Wales, as well as immediately following, were among the most interesting. But this little sliver, her affair with the heart surgeon, is a compelling piece, but not hardly feature-film worthy.

With the film’s bad reviews (Rotten Tomatoes, Roger Ebert), outright disapproval from the heart surgeon depicted, and Naomi Watts’ comparison of it to ‘a sinking ship,’ I suppose I shouldn’t have been so surprised to find the whole thing to be a complete flop.

Is Kate Cressida’s Princess Coach?

Kate Middleton and Cressida Bonas

As engagement rumors continue to swirl around Prince Harry and Cressida, many are reporting that the Duchess of Cambridge is allegedly prepping Cressida for the Princess lifestyle.

Cressida the debutante

Rubbing elbows with royals is nothing new for Cressida as it once was for Kate. I suspect Cressida can hold her own on that front, and quite possibly, even offer some advice to the Duchess… such as not walking ahead of the Queen, and to whom she should curtsy.

York Princesses vs. Kate

Allegedly, the York Princesses don’t fancy Kate all that much. And it seems as though Kate feels the same about them.

Disco drama

The story most cited as having cause the great schism goes back to 2008 when Kate didn’t invite the sisters to The Day-Glo Midnight Roller Disco fundraiser. When Princess Beatrice asked Kate about the event, Kate failed to mention the “fancy dress” theme, leaving the Princess a bit embarrassed at the event. Even worse, allegedly, when she tried to ask Kate about it at the event, Kate is said to have simply snubbed her.

“When Princess Beatrice tried to confront Kate at the event she ignored Beatrice and continued to drink shots at the bar. Beatrice confronted her again and again, until Kate told her foul things And finally told her to “Fuck off.”  It was at that event that Beatrice was found crying by a reporter.” || Kate Middleton Criticism

Royal matchmakers

The Princesses are said to have a close relationship with their cousin, Prince Harry. They are credited for having set the Prince up with their good friend Cressida.

York Sisters with Cressida

Some suspect they initially introduced the pair to spite Kate. While this may have been a factor, it seems they may have made a somewhat fitting match. (However, I’m still not convinced.)

Harry and Cressida

William’s unrequited love

This probably stems from the fact that Prince William was turned down by Cressida’s older sister, Isabella Calthorpe. Something that seems to still bother Kate, and maybe even still make her feel a bit threatened.

“No woman makes Kate as insecure as Isabella Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe,” a palace insider tells In Touch of Cressida’s half-sister – for whom William left Kate for five years ago.” – In Touch Weekly print edition || Celebitchy

Carole confronted William?

An interesting piece of gossip (so obviously to be taken with a grain of salt) is that William and Isabella had rekindled their relationship to an extent back in 2009, leading Carole Middleton to confront William. While I do think Carole played an immense role in getting William and Kate together, I’m side-eyeing this story to a certain extent. But then again, she seems to be a of a go-getter, to put it politely.

I think Kate should just put on her favorite tiara, take a bubble bath and r-e-l-a-x. She’s already got the ring and the baby. And the ability to jaunt off for vacays with her prince really anytime she fancies… micromanaging your brother-in-law’s love life seems the least of her “problems.”
